S2000 Options

Apologies if this question/answers is posted elsewhere, but I haven't found it. So, I'm curious what options - other that colors and interior - was the S2000 offered with? Also, does Honda offer a service which would provide those specifics for an owner.
Thanks.

Everything was a dealer installed option except for the CR's and the CR delete.

Outside the US there was a VGS option.

Tonneau cover came with the appropriate car, it was not an option. (Using is, of course, optional)

Cargo net was listed above.

I had to look up "VGS".

Quote:

Honda of Japan introduced the second of only four variants the S2000 namesake was ever privy to, coinciding with the model’s second year of production. Known as the Type V, the roadster now featured, as an option, the first variable-rate steering system to make its way onto any production vehicle. Officially called VGS (variable gear ratio steering), the system allows for a dynamically fluctuating steering ratio based upon vehicle speed and steering angle. The results are about as unessential as you think they are but are what many claim to be a more intuitive feel with even better sensitivity as well as a lock-to-lock ratio that’s halved under low-speed conditions. Like four-wheel steering, it’s the sort of engineering minutiae Honda’s become famous for introducing before discontinuing it and pretending it never happened.

No factory options I'm aware of other than the hard top. Everything else was dealer provided. I'm still looking for the pocket to put behind the seat(s).

This is not unique to the S2000 (nor to Honda). Historically Honda radios were dealer installed, at least they were in a couple of my early Civics. Wrong radio was in one. Right one took 10 minutes to swap. Much of this was, no doubt, due to the cars being produced in Japan. Unless I dreamed this AC was a dealer option way back then. When Civics started coming out of Marysville it became less common to even have a choice of things like what radio.

A supercharger was a dealer option for the S2000 at a few places and according to original owners it was covered under the factory warranty. I only know of one (1) such car.

When I bought my '89 CRX HF, AC was indeed a dealer installed option.

That place was Sacramento. Driving Ambition is what is left over.

Only seen one "factory" supercharged car and it is in Youngstown (OH).
