when I had my S2000 I went 155mph racing a modded Z28 but shut down because while I had it punched he was feathering it.

 

something seems very fishy there. it's a modded Z28 not a ferrari. and why race to 155MPH? no one should really be pushing their cars in 6th but everyone can do whatever they want in their own cars.

a friend got his to 262 k/m.....its on the stock speedo though...i think youve got to lower that speed by maybe about 10k/m to know your real speed? ..... maybe
iv heard that with the whole OEM body kit(including hardtop) your top speed will increase by a little...im not sure though

 

Road and Track did not actually test the top speed. They only reported the speed it would reach if it would redline in top gear. The highest top speed I have seen reported from an actual test is 149. 146 seems to be the number that comes up in most tests and is very consistent.

 

 

stock S can go faster than 14*...did 147 on our H3 and i had a few more grand of revs to go before my concious kicked in.
