Default s2k difficult to drive?

i have heard a lot of things on this board about people talking about drviers classes, going to the tracks and so on. it appears that the s2k cant handle very well and that it isnt a good car for novice racers. i was just wondering because i really like the look and power of the car and plan on getting one later on. so if anyone would be kind enoguh to reply and tell me how your guys s2ooo's perform

thanx

its not difficult to drive at all, just know your own limits. most people who want to drive any car to the limit should that some kind of driving class.

I don't find it difficult at all to drive. The only thing I can figure is most people that buy this car are used to front wheel drive cars. I have never had a Front wheel drive car though. They will not spin around on you like RWD. This is all I can figure, I have always wondered why everyone suggests driving classes. Just don't drive beyond you or your car's limits.

the s2000 performs very well. the s2000 also is one of the best handling cars on the market today. people usually go to drivers school to learn how to drive there car to its full potential

When I test drove an 02 MR-2, they told me they just had somebody trade a S2000 for one because the car was too wild to drive as an everyday car. I'm not sure if it was a tactic, but within my own mind it only made me want the S2000 more! The MR-2 was a lame drive.

Remember, the S2000 is a very well balanced car, so it will handle different than a front wheel drive car. Like in a turn with the S2000 you need to power through it, where a front wheel drive car you can back off the gas and the car will drive through the curve.

You just have to learn the car and drive at your level. Just like at race drive, you get better every day.

I believe a big point you make is that you are a novice racer. If that's the case, then it would be of great benefit if you went to a drivers school. I belive a lot of the problems people have in high powered cars is their lack of knowledge of what the car can do. IMO.

S2dr I don't mean to sound offensive, But you mentioned "novice racers" so I assumed you wanted to race the car. Street racing is not true racing. I'm not a racer and I don't believe there are many here who are racers. I was just saying that if you are afraid to drive the car because of what you heard, then you should go to a driving school with your S2000 to best know how it will handle.
