My vote's for steam. James Watt had it right from the get-go!
|
hmmmm..perhaps we could get a couple s2ks donated to "junkyard wars"...maybe the moustach guys could do something....
|
Any size diesel would be great.

hehe, I love that show Junkyard Wars....totally cool.
My prediction for a swap is a V6... :D |
flinstone sytle? actually i like the engine it has.. just throw on a comptech SC and a 70shot NOS if you want serious speed. take out the auto top and spare tire(around 400lbs total?) i'd like to see those numbers.
|
no,no,no....an all alloy small block v8 will give you really serious speed [with a fraction of the hassle]...we'll just have to wait a bit..somebody will "do it"...

dbw - have you heard of Monster Motorsport? They have a kit designed for the Miata that allows you to drop in a 5 liter Ford V8! Can you imagine nearly 400 hp in that car . http://www.monstermotorsports.com/
$19k will add a 225 hp V8 engine, new tranny and suspension upgrades to your Miata. If you're serious about power, they'll sell you a complete car with a ~400 hp supercharged V8 for neck-snapping acceleration (0-60 mph in 3.9 sec) for about $50k. About a year ago, I stopped by a local car show and, wanting to associate with my roadster brethren, parked near a group of Miatas. A few of the Miata guys walked over to check out the S2K and asked to see the engine. I obliged and lifted the hood. I was stunned when one of them looked straight at me and said, "Yep, plenty of room for a V8". :D |
