Yes, that old POS site that I have had forever (yes, I admit it, DBW) is going away. It's being replaced by THIS...

http://scarlet.s2000online.org

It is indeed a work in progress, but I had a lazy kind of weekend (like most of my life ISN'T?!) and have been developing the new site. There is a lot of content that needs to be finished, but the cascading style sheets are working and the links are ALMOST fini. I have been out of the HTML business for a number of years, so be kind in your criticism.

I would love your input on it all...

Also, as you can tell from my URL, Erik (cthree) is hosting the site...he says that he will host any S2000-related site for free. So, if you have one, you may want to talk with him about it...

Let me know what you think!

I like it...and it's a giant leap forward compared to the old one!

Greg, do you have any software like Dreamweaver? It's similar to FrontPage...but kicks the $hit outta anything Microsoft could ever put out. It lets you drag an' drop as typical products do...but also allows you to view and edit the source for fine tuning...

If you have any questions about it/where to get it cheap...email me at "mandu79@aol.com"

Since you're in Chicago too...it'd be easy to get it for you if you wanted.

You must be working on it right now because most of your hyperlinks on the frame are not working. Couple things I noticed:
1. font size is too small
2. don't be afraid to add color to your frame, buttons, and background

Dude, I also just checked your source for that page. The FAQ one as well as the Home site. It automatically opened in Notepad for me, and for some reason the spacing is all jacked to hell. Is that how you type it in? or is that another "feature" of something my boy Bill likes to throw in at no extra cost?

hey rahvis, I used a new dev tool that I hadn't used before, by Adobe called GoLive. I used a template, but customized it to my own needs...it works pretty well, but I'm not happy with how CSS fucntions. I still had to put in code for things that appear on each page, when those things don't change per page and SHOULD be handled by CSS, or what I used to know as server-side includes.

If you notice that on some pages the top graphic shifts a little...this should not happen with CSS, as I understand them. It should be fixed for every page that is wrapped in the CSS.

Well, I'm just trying to get the foundation down, get all the links working and make sure all the navigation works right...

Pointers are appreciated...

I'm not using frames, beyatch!

What do you mean?!?

My bad...I meant your component buttons. BTW, they seem to be working now.

Yea, punk ass! I noticed that!

Sheet, it's only 3:15 here in the Arctic Circle, WTF are you complaining about?!

Oh, and I guess the buttons just started working by themselves, eh? Wow...magic buttons...Erik didn't tell me that those were included!
