Seat repairs
I own a 20002 S2000. The seats were stolen and I bought replacement seats from a reputable salvage yard. They are in excellent condition except that the metal plate on the bottom of the seats is rusted because water had collected on the floorboard. The rust has caked a little, but the part is not rusted through. I could replace the metal plate with a new one or sand off the rust and prime it to prevent the rust from reoccurring. Has anyone done this? If so, how difficult is it to replace the plates? I called a local dealership and they said that the entire bottom seat had to be disassembled to replace them. I hope this is not the case. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated. If you wish, please e-mail me at: kandjatlanta@yahoo.com
Thanks!
