This evening my wife and I were on our way home (her in her Accord, I in my stook). She had asked me to fill her car with gas, and being the loving husband I am, I agreed to meet her at the Mobil. I parked over to one side and proceeded to fill her car after she pulled up at the pump.

From behind the pump we heard the following conversation: (1st guy) "That's the new Acura sportscar."

(2nd guy) "No, that's the new Honda sportscar!"

This argument went on for awhile as I continued to pump and listen.

Finally, the Honda guy walked over to my car and pointed out the badge, and the other guy conceded that it was, indeed, a Honda.

The conceder, however, just couldn't leave it alone, having to have the last word, " It's a Miata look-alike," he said.

Finally a Japanese gentleman who happened on the scene opined that it was really a BMW wannabe! I decided not to tell them what I thought of their assessment and finished pumping the gas. As I finished and walked back to the mighty S2K the first two gentlemen drove off, in of all things, a Plymouth Breeze! Obviously, these guys were real car connoiseurs (I didn't see what the Japanese gentleman was driving; probably a BMW).

People really are ignorant...as my father would say,

"Some speak words without knowledge."

Look on the bright side. You have a MY00, but they think it's a brand new car.

Yeah... over three and a half years later, it's suddenly quite a hot topic.

edit: indeed it is an old topic. hehe

Oddly with Southlake so close by to Bedford, you'd figured that they would have seen S's before... weird.
