Default Shifting To 2nd gear

Hey guys, well i have trouble shifting to 2nd gear for some reason and i dont know y. Maybe im unexperienced but when i shift into 2nd it would jerk a bit and it is only smooth if i release the clutch 90% and hold the clutch 10% and at times i release it less and i rev up. I find this very fustrating for me and i need to improve asap. What do u think it is my ass or waht.

i dont really know what the problem is also but i have never had this problem with the other stick i drove. i consider my self a noob because this is my first stick and i have been driving my s2k only for a month. the only car i have driven is a sentra which i rented for 2 days to practice.

It is more likely to be your foot.

I can't relate. I think you just need practice. Perhaps just try to be a bit more assertive in your driving.

i was leaping all over the place when i started out on the stick, especially 1st to 2nd and now a few weeks later its smooth ,but an occasional minor leaping... you are probably clutching too fast or maybe the gas and cluch time is wrong.. it has to be perfect for a smooth shift i noticed.. i found it ever so slowly clutch in and as you release slowly, give it a little gas, but if you give it too much gas or to fast gas, then it will leap... just drive aroung the block and find the sweet spot... oh and i also realized as the gears are higher the cluch in and out is just a little faster..
