Shifting To 2nd gear
It's normal for the 1-->2 shift to be the hardest to do smoothly. It's all in the timing of your clutch / throttle operation. Try varying your timing...for instance, try getting your foot back on the throttle just a tiny bit quicker during the shift. I learned stick on my S2000 and couldn't get the 1-->2 shift smooth for some time.
Yes, that's what i noticed too, if I shift at high rpms and let the clutch out fast, it is smooth. Otherwise when i shift cold or go slow, it's not smooth unless I ease out the clutch VERY slowly.

I agree it is most likely you are letting the clutch out too quickly.
Try treating the 1-2 shift like you are taking off slowy in first.
I think really the technique for changing all gears is the same (ie you don't just dump the clutch). It is just that as you go up the gears the process gets quicker (release the clutch a little quicker).

That's what I found to work too. I would like to shift a bit faster though, because it takes a good 2 seconds for me to shift that way. Any tips on how to shift faster?
