Silverstone--The Home of British Grand Prix Racing
I guess I had too much free time this morning. I went on line to find out more about Silverstone. Of course, our UK members know this by heart.

Britain has some of the greatest sporting venues in the world and for the motor racing fan it is Silverstone. In World terms, there are few circuits that historically and emotionally rank in the same league and these include Monza in Italy and Indianapolis in the USA. In fact, Formula 1 itself started here in 1950 when the first ever race was held at the Northamptonshire circuit. Not only is Silverstone a legendary place but it is a place where legendary drivers such as Fangio, Clark, Hill, Stewart, Prost, Mansell and Senna had famous victories.
