Smelling brakes after spirited drive...
Hi all, some weeks ago I went for a fast to the limit drive of about 15km on a very twisted road, the road was still a little wet so I made sure not to oversteer in the turns by reducing the speed before entering them. So I used the brakes more often and harder then usual. At the end of the trip, the girl next to me said she smelled something burning. Yeah, pretty sure it were the brakes, the brake pedal felt quite rubbery and the braking bite not that impressive at the end as well. Is this normal

It's only normal if you're driving the car the way it was meant to be! Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it. You went on a good drive, heated up the brakes, and that will make them smell. If you're paranoid, you may want to check to make sure you still have enough pad and rotor life left to be safe on the street.

Maybe your brakepads started to fade a little, makes them smell.
Or the brake fluid started to boil a little bit, the rubbery feel.
Did things go back to normal when cooled down?
