Default so i ordered a new wing...

i was planning to wait the expected 2 month time period of ordering the J's Racing GT Type 2 Wet Carbon wing but decided it wasn't really worth the time and most of all the money to get it. i figured i was just buying the name when i can get a very nice looking APR wing for half that price.

i was looking into the APR wings and had 2 options the GTC-200 (10" tall 59.5" wide) and the GTC-300 (13" tall 67" wide). the height of the GTC-200 was too short and thought the GTC-300 would be perfect for my car but thought that the width would be ridiculously wide and sticking out farther than the car itself. so i gave a call to a shop and they were glad to call APR to see what was best. to my amazement, APR was willing to make me a custom wing with the height of the GTC-300 (13" tall) and a custom width to match the S of 61" wide. they said it'll take about a week to make and ship so i will post pix as soon as it arrives. the next mission continues which is installing it. any helpful installation tips would help out greatly.

The J's would have cost me $1700 + tax + shipping + 2 month wait.

The custom made APR wing will be delivered before Christmas and total came out to be $733 + tax + $30 shipping. total of $820.

I could go to kmart and pick up an ironing board for 100x times than your wing and they would look just about the same. If you're spending $100-200 on a wing that's "fine", but you're pushing border line stupidity when you pay $800. Good luck, although I think your post is in the wrong forum.

wow what's with all this hating? if you weren't aware, high quality carbon fiber wings are very expensive. not to be a dick like you are to me right now, but maybe you're just jealous at the fact that i can afford to purchase such things and considering i installed all those mods you see on my sig within 3 months after i purchased the car (july of 05) i think you are just very bitter. you can go ahead and build your kmart wing for all i care but i think this forum is full of very helpful and supportive people so its sad to see users like you. im sure if you could have you would drop money to get a wing like this but oh well for you. you tell me now who's borderline stupidity moron.

bumpins2k, you don't have to argue with trolls like this guy, as soon as people read his post they realise what a dick he is. So basically, he doesn't need any help embarrassing himself.

First off I'm not jealous of your "mods". I just think your money could be better spent on functional items such as gears. I actually like your mods, especially being FI (just none of the visual ones you decided to add). I just find it extremely hard to pay that much for a wing. Regardless, good luck with everything.
