With the 3D CF wing I think that you would have been better off going with the 67" version vice getting it custom cut to 61".
The GT style of wing should be wide in the rear and is visable from the front or 3 quarter view. It's function comes from it's size. The s2000 is very wide in the rear and a GT wing that is as narrow as the rear quarter panel will look a bit odd IMO.
I think that if you were willing to pay $800 for the APR to be custom made, you should have waited to buy the J's.
The APR has a nice blade but the stands are Universal and are heavy. The J's comes with dry carbon mounts and stands which are very light weight. The J's also fits custom to the trunklid.
The APR stands will be mounted in closer to the center of the trunk lid which is weaker structurally without a brace underneath.
Depending on the trunk lid you could get warping due to the downforce on the spoiler blade at high speeds.
Be very careful when you mount the spoiler also because the base stands are straight and the trunk lid is curved. Keep this in mind when you drill the holes and when you torque the bolts down.
Congrats on your purchase...make sure you take the time to install it properly and I'm sure you will be happy.
hey tim i really appreciate your thoughts and inputs regarding the wing and the helpful tips on installation. the j's would have looked nice yes indeed but just like slasherx said $1700 is almost ridiculous to drop on a wing whether one can afford it not to mention the grueling 2 month wait. you are right about the support of the bottom brackets of the j's being stronger than the apr because of the positioning. i did lots of research regarding the apr wings and saw many pictures at many angles of the GTC-200 wing (10" tall 59.5" wide) and the width of the wing was just about parallel with the rear quarter panels. i personally just thought the wing was too low to my taste and wanted something higher. i found that in the GTC-300 so i got the height of that and if the dimensions of the back of the s2000 is i believe very close around 61". here is a pic of the GTC-200 back so you can get an idea of how wide it might look.
When I was in the market I looked at the exact same setup. The rear of the S is 1750mm which is close to 69" wide. The Blade length you got should be fine.
INGS Z power spoiler for the S is 1600mm which is 63" so that will give you an idea on the width...
Even at 63" you don't see much from the 3 quarter view....

I want one.....but I can't stand the thought of losing my convertible.... I always drive top down...
Decisions..
I hate the look of softtops, so a hardtop is the only way to go for me. You can get one of those manual winches and put it in your garage. That way you just strap it down and can do it by yourself.
