<<the next S2k is suppose to be a 2.2 liter... so calling it the 2020 wouldnt make sense.... the reason its going to be called the S2200 is this....>>

I definitely think they should call it the S2020!!

But the S2200 would be a completely different car. It's like comparing an S600 to an S2000.
See what I'm saying?
I see what you are saying yes, but its still an S, just a coupe.

I am really looking foward to to the possibility of an S2200 coupe. Everyone's got their own opinion, but I have never been very big on convertibles and I know I'm not alone. I always thought that coupe versions always look better than convertible versions of the same car. Different strokes for different folks. So I have always hoped for a coupe version of the S2000. Yes, I could have looked for a hardtop, but why pay extra if you don't need to. And the top would never come off anyway, just adds more weight.
So there is a market for a coupe, if it's done right. I would give up 1000 rpms for more meat in the low and midrange. Plus coming from an Integra GSR, I'm wouldn't be missing the 9k redline anyway. I really hope Honda comes through with something for us non-convertible people.
