Default soft top brushes

Hi, I just ordered a Robbins top. I'm planning to replace it as soon as I get all the parts and tools together, but I want to replace the soft top brushes as well. Mine have 109K on them and are looking pretty bad. I really can't tell from any of the posts on here which parts exactly I need. I want all 4 brushes, both the inside and outside on right and left. I'll order them from anywhere and I really don't care how much they cost, I dont want to remove them or cut them down or make them out of some household item. I want the Honda OEM stuff.

Parts
84142-S2A-000 BRUSH, R. No Color 1 2001 S2000
84142-S2A-J00 BASE, R. BRUSH No Color 1 2001 S2000
84192-S2A-000 BRUSH, L. No Color 1 2001 S2000
84192-S2A-J00 BASE, L. BRUSH No Color 1 2001 S2000

look in the picture at:

http://www.hondapartscheap.com/southbay/js...nt=0&quantity=0

looks like they're the inside brushes only, but I can't tell what the difference is between the -000 part and the -J00 part. Also, the parts in this picture:

parts 17 and 20 look like they might be the top drain with the brushes attached to them...???

please help,
Thanks,
Jason

What parts are required to replace the brushes on each side? I was told that only parts 24 and 25 are required but it looks like the vehicle has 4 brushes total. I called honda and they said parts 24 and 25 are both one piece. Please help! Thanks!!

I didn't end up replacing them. I did my top a couple weekends ago. I couldn't figure out which parts to buy so I didn't replace the brushes.

There are 4 separate parts that you'd need. The outer ones are really easy to change. You just remove the trim piece next to the door and they are screwed onto that. On my car, those are the 2 brushes that really aren't that bad.

The ones that are really bad looking are the brushes on the inside by the seats. To replace those I think you have to totally remove the top and rear tray, then take out the water drains....huge pain. I still can't tell for sure which part you'd need though.

Good luck,
JASON

You are correct there are four parts two are the brushes on the pillar garnish easy to change. The other two are the right and left drain tank assy parts 17, 20 on the Honda parts picture.
