Personally I have not seen a thread about this yet. Did the top motor have a grind or wind sound as if it was still trying? Did it just stop working at those points?

Good luck with everything. I hope you get an answer soon on here.

with your top up, sit in the seat. the bar directly above your head needs to go down all the way for the top to go down all the way. more than likely this bar did not go down all the way. the elastic straps are known to wear out after a while. you can buy straps from modifry.com or you can just push this bar down all the way (when your top is half lowered) to ensure your top goes down correctly.

mine didn't lower all the way a couple times already. it just seems like the top folds a little funny and doesn't allow for the top to go all the way down. i just put it up a little and then back down.

Usually if the bar doesn't go down all the way, it means the elastic is worn out. There is a bulletin regarding worn elastic. I have had this happen to my '05 and got it replaced. Maybe you can try going to the dealership to get it fixed. This might help... https://www.s2ki.com/shared/library/TSB/A02-065.pdf

Get the straps from Modifry. If you do not replace them your latches will rip through your top, they are what it is hanging it up on without the bar retracting properly. This has happened time and time again. Good luck.
