I had driven my 2000 Silver/Black for about 2 weeks more then a year. I had pretty much concluded that most people stopped paying attention to it (I feel a lot safer this way). I no longer got long stares, crazy people pulling up in any situation to look at it. I did still get comments at the pump and such. Driving around my Spa Yellow today I was reminded of the first week I drove the S2000 (I believe I was one of the first in my area for quite some time). I received a high amount of attention with many eyes peering from everywhere. I'm guessing the yellow does it... It actually makes the S2K stick out even that much more. I can see them all thinking "Look... It's the new James Bond Car"... (my usual response)...

Yellow isn't a very popular color around here, seems like a California color to me. I just got a silver/black and people almost break their necks looking :D I guess it depends where you live

y2ks2k:

Are you happy with your 2001 as compared to your Silver/black? Just curious as I am expecting a 2001 Spa Yellow in Dec.

It seems there are a number of us who have gone from a 00 Silver/black to a 01 Yellow/black. I always wanted the yellow one (having had a yellow NSX-T prior). The yellow looks more sporty (which is what I wanted for the convertible) while the silverstone looks more distinguised (which is the look I wanted for the NSX).

I must say, though that one the reason tipped the scales in the decision to go to a 01 model was that I did not want to deal with the warranty fixes in the 00.

BTW, I've noticed that in my 01 model, the roof does not retract as deeply into the roof well as the 00 did. I think this may be part of the "fix" to reduce scratching of the inside of the rear window.
