Hey guys the topic says it all...any reason this might happen? is it always lit and i never noticed?

It should be on during initialization, for a second or two.. If it stays on, theres an error condition or malfunction somewhere in the abs system. Take it to the dealer.

that's what i figured but i don't like the dealers around here....i figured if someone else knew what was going on i could tell the dealer to ease any errors or complications which always arise

You could always try disconnecting the battery and/or pulling the fuse for the ECU and see if that resets it. If not take it to the dealer.

I have had this happen in another car. In that case it was the passenger sensor switch gone bad which was replaced under warranty.

Over a year ago I started my car up and my EPS light came on, I started to drive slowly, and I could barely turn. I stopped, restarted the car - and it was fine...it was weird. Never came back.

Definetly get is checked soon. If the SRS light is on it means the system is disabled (usually), could be the control module or a sensor, I haven't checked the stook but my Acura RL has seat belt sensors, might be that too. Take it to the dealer they can fix it pretty quickly once they scan it.

In the case of the SRS I would not disconnect the battery. This may make it more difficult to troubleshoot. Have the dealer download the code to a Honda PGM Tester. Nick is correct the stook also senses the seat belt harness reels as well as airbags. The system has nothing to do with the ABS system (sorry Pellis S2K). One question I would ask is if you have added anything of late (i.e. stereo head unit, amps, center console cover or boot)? You may have just loosening a connector somewhere.

Swurvy,

I would lend you my SRS reset "tool" but for the light to come on by itself would be an indication of a problem (that's why the warning light is there in the first place)...

Removing and reinstalling my airbags triggered my SRS light (duh, I know :))
