Stock Dyno - 203 WHP
1 Attachment(s)
I dyno'd the S2k today completely stock, and I was a bit surprised at the results. The car did 203 WHP @ 9250 RPM. I was definitely surprised it held power so well past 9000 RPM. This was at a local dyno day on a portable Dynomite Dyno. It's notorious for reading high, but it seemed a little more calibrated today. Should I be surprised by these numbers, or is this about par for the course on a stock AP1 S2000? The only modification I've done on the car is removed the intake box and installed a cone filter directly on the OEM intake tube.

203 hp isn't unheard of for an AP1. 10,000+ rpm is. :ponder: Looks like the dyno's tach pickup is messed up? Or have you really modified your car to rev to 10k? |

So your completely stock s2k revs to 10,000 rpm....?
The dyno rpm pickup is definately messed up. 203whp is average for a stock AP1. But you do realize that the stock ecu cuts fuel at 8900rpm, although the highest rpm ive ever recorded on my VAFC2 has been 9020. Its literally impossible to rev an AP1 to 10,000 without an ecu upgrade and possibly some valvetrain work. |
what's with the low torque? 120ish maybe?

Honestly the dynomite dynos are crap. I went to one a while back and I got 170whp and like 120wtq with an AFR of 17.3....
A few days later went to a dynojet and got 206whp with afr in like 10s or 11s. Go to a better dyno like dynojet or mustang. |
