sorry to interrupt this mid-atlantic thread conversation but I was also driving in the torrential downpour we had last night. some areas in va got up to 6 inches! holy crap.

i had no leak issues last night (although i took my car through a touchless car wash and had some leakage once) however, my front brakes (part of the calipers, not the rotors) got a little rusted and the rust also got all over my rims too i gonna have to clean the rims again. has this ever happened to anyone after driving through the rain?

yeah, that actually happened to me last time i washed my car. i was a little worried at first cuz i didnt know what it was. i just got done drying my car and parking it and i get out and see all this red sh!t on my wheels. it was right after i got it serviced so i was wondering if it was from something they did but i havent seen it since. does anyone elses breaks lock up after washing and then letting sit overnight? sometimes when i unlock the ebrake my car will still sit in place on a hill until i give it gas and then the brakes sorta pop/unlock. its nothing major. i imagine its just from not driving it after the brakes were wet.

Holy friggin crap, you guys make it sound like the S is made out of paper or something. Talk to the owners up in Canada. They regularly plow through SNOW in their S'. Rain is not going to hurt the car. Unless you leave the top down.

I treat my top with 303, and it's looking good after 6 years.

The 303 Protectant is for boats, actually. So look up boat supply stores in your area and they should have them in stock. Make sure you get the one for Vinyl.

I have an extra bottle for sale (32oz bottle). Bought it for 20 bucks ... if you live around my area, just pay me 20 and I'll give you the bottle (or I'm returning it soon).
