If you didn't have an S2000, would you take a 97 Supra Twin Turbo?

Not too long ago i really wanted a 300zx, but after driving the S2000 the 300 is now beginning to look old, and heavy.

How about one of those 3rd Gen Twin Turbo RX7s. They are very good track cars, at least down here.

IMO, it depends on the color. . .

A close friend has a '94 in White. It looks nice but I wouldn't break my neck trying to get a glimpse of it. . . However, the same car in the metallic silver or that electic blue is absolutely stunning . . .

Incidentally, a few years ago I thought about getting a new one in silver metallic (it reminded me of a much sportier version of my Prelude) but I opted against it because I didn't like the way the targa top was bolted on and I couldn't really see over the hood (high belt line). . .

However, you don't buy a Supra TT for its paint color!!!! And you definitely don't walk away from buying one because of a few (very) minor quirks!!!

Supras are meant for SPEED!!!

An example, my same friend is able to do the 1/4 mile in 11.25-11.5 @ 119-121mph at ease with the stock turbos!!! In addition, while we were racing on the Garden State Parkway, he was able to pull away from me as if I had my Prelude in neutral (I was going 120mph at the time)!!!

Something to think about. . .

I'm looking at a blue one, very nice, a lot of miles (they insist they're pure highway miles). But if I got the engine rebuilt and new turbos, I'd break less than even with a S2000 (price-wise). Tough decision. But I'll probably just stick with the yellow s2k because it's more rare and stunning (plus it's new). Just getting some input. Thanks. If i got the supercharger it could take the twin turbos i'm pretty sure

I raced a slightly modded Supra TT a couple of weeks ago. I think they are awesome cars as well. They carry a whole lot of potential for mods.

So going back to the race, The Supra never got ahead of me, simply because of the aggressive driving I was doing, but I know if we had a two lanes open and we were side by side, the Supra would have taken the S2000.

They are monsters....IMO

I wanted a Supra TT a couple of years ago but couldn't afford it and the insurance. Great car! On average, what do they go for used these days?
