Have you considered using Jell-O, and food coloring to match the color?

Aus S's have the swiches there. Actually one is a switch for the 'cold shower' button (aka headlight washers) and the other is a blank.

If you want the buttons post in the Aus section. I remember somebody wanted to remove the buttons and install the coin slot. You might be in luck.

Wow, that looks great. Only problem would be hitting the buttons in a RHD. ANd the location of the display isn't optimum.

This months issue of car & driver has a nice shot of the inside of a s2000 and you can clearly see the buttons in the area you are talking about! Page 50 December 2002 issue!
