tell me why i shouldn't trade my s2 for an evo

I had a fleeting interest in the EVO/STI. I was wondering what the power and handling were like. Now keep in mind that my main interest in cars is auto-x. I used to love modding and tuning with my civics and my CRX but after I tried auto-x things just changed for me. I became addicted to the competition and the low entry cost associated with the grass roots racing. I started to learn how to drive and I found a new appreciation the subtleties of performance driving.
Anyway, I know a couple that has both an STI and an EVO and at a test and tune day they let me have a few runs in each. After that I have never thought about either car again. Both were heavy feeling, pushy and just awkward to auto-x. The S2000 feels amazingly accurate and nimble in comparison

I would agree with the winter beater. I snowboard and often have to haul stuff. I don't use the S much in the winter.

My roommate bought an Evo, and I've driven it......once. Now I like many other cars much better, and he's thinking about selling it after 2 months of ownership.

By the way, the 2003 Evo is the slowest one available here in the US. For whatever reason, the 05 Evo's have been putting down better dyno numbers than the 03-04s, and the 06 Evo 9s have been putting down way better numbers on the dyno and on the track than any of the previous Evo 8s.
06 Evo9s have MIVEC as well a revised turbo and most are dynoing at close to 300whp with ecu flash/exhaust alone.
Back on the topic of this thread, I love both cars for different reasons. The only thing they really have in common is that they're both "driver's cars."
I track and autox my evo frequently and thats where that car really belongs!
IMO....
Evo Pros:
Torque/Powerband
AWD w/ ACD, LSDs all around = unbelievable grip at the track
Steering Response
Tunability
Ancient but Legendary 4G63
S2K Pros:
Engine Response
RWD w/ LSD fun
Heaven on earth Gearbox
50/50 weight disty
