Thanks Ayrton Senna

I think that because of Senna and all his winnings and championships with Honda Maclaren we are proud to own and have the NSX and S2000 because they develop both cars thanks to these guy who brought a lot of emotions and happines to the brand . i dont want any s2000 replace i just love my s2000  is a car that just inspires racing and more racing.sadly that honda fails and isnt racing in Formula 1 and when is racing about they are just making that crz and civic crap they now just focus on the profits... :brokehrt:

i just want to say i am his admirer best driver , aggresive , nice guy , he almost broke physics laws .

I'm his biggest fan, he's the greatest driver ever, but let's be honest, he wasn't a nice guy.

The documentary is at Sundance right now. If it does well enough, we may actually get it in theaters in the US. If it doesn't, we'll have to wait for the dvd in a year or so.

I am a big fan also. What do you mean "he wasn't a nice guy"? Just trying to find out. What I've learned from conversations with Brazilian co-workers, is that he came from a wealthy family, and that he gave a lot of $$ to the poor people of Brazil. They also told me that the whole Brazilian country mourned his death. That they've never seen such an expression of sorrow before or after Senna's passing. I've read that he was an advocate of driver safety. But never read about the not a nice guy side of Senna.

Senna?....eh?....he was ok...but the man is and will
always be Mr. Schumacher!

Even though I grew up in Daytona Beach(can right now hear the
mild roar of the 24 Hrs.)..I love F-1.....just beats Nascar
to death with all the technology!

If I were ver lucky enough to win a big lottery...I'd surely
try and see idf a RA807E could be placed in my Rio Yellow..
can you imagine...19,000 rpm's!

He wasn't a "nice guy" if you were in front of him or if you were trying to pass him. He was hyper-competetive. He would jump out of his car, and put himself at risk to remove a driver from a car that had just wrecked, but he would put you into the wall if you dared pass him. That contradiction made him unique.

The latest issue of Forza magazine had an editorial about the difference between Senna and Alonso. The question was what would Senna have done at Abu Dhabi had he been in Alonso's position. The consensus was that Senna would have either won the world championship or wrecked while trying. That characteristic is what fans want, and drivers today don't have.

Didn't like him when he was racing, missed him when he was gone...

Senna developed the S2000??

That is news to me. As far as I know the SSM concept on which the S2000 is based was displayed for the first time in 1995. Senna died in 1994.

BTW CR-Z crap finished 2nd in class at 25 hours of Thunderhill and Civic crap has won Continental Tire Series Championship two years in a row. Although I will admit a RWD pure sports car from Honda would be awesome.

FutureDevilDog 01-29-2011 07:31 PM

I dont think anyone said he developed the S2000...
