Default Theft

Has anyone had any problems with thieves taking seats and other internal fixtures? I am installing a better alarm system but could use other ideas.

s2000 seats seem to be pretty popular among thieves. there are seat locks you can purchase.

if you dont have a hardtop already, you can get that to prevent them from slashing the soft top and taking everything. granted, they can just break your window, i would imagine fixing a broken window is cheaper than a soft top. plus, slashing a soft top is much easier to w/o causing attention than breaking a window

Don't park outside. Of all things to have stolen, they took my start button and gauge cluster.
Then they left the seats. Dummies.

Some people are useless. Get some seat locks and a better alarm.
Sorry for the theft.

Send a PM to Kodokan_4 for info on purchasing seat locks. If you want to get more info, do a search on Kodokan seat locks.

I had this happen to me a couple of days ago. I just got my 02, only had it for a month and someone cut my top and stole my seats! It sucks! Anybody know a lot about insurance, cuz im trying my hardest to get them to payout for some aftermarket stuff, Hardtop and new seats maybe. Is there a way I around the system to get them to just give me a check for me to buy it myself?

Don't know about in your area, but in Ontario, Canada you have the option to take a cash settlement for anything they plan to repair. Trick is, with somethings they'll withhold a small amount they will be cashed back, as long as you pay more for the repair yourself than the amount they already settled with you. ie:

(fake numbers)
Soft top: $2000
Pay out: $1600
Withhelf: $400

So now if you go spend over $1600 and show receipts, they'll pay you the difference up to the maximum amount of $2000.

I got them to repair most of my car but got cash for a couple items because I know I can get em cheaper/replace with upgraded.

Good luck

hey guysssss....guess what? just walked out this morning to see that both my doors were open and my soft top has a about a 10" by 15" cut in it, and my beautiful red seats are gone!

luckily enough my friend had an extra pair of aftermarket civic seats so i hopefully can get them in there.

other then this, theres no other damage.

my question is......what should i use to patch up the top before i can afford to buy a new top?

ughhhhhhhhhh..............i love my baby
