Just got a call of someone offering me a 2000 S2k in auto. I thought they only came in 6 speed. Did they make an auto in Canada? and its a Canadian car?

No kiddin'! That would be the quickest way Honda could ruin this car.

 

Honda didnt make a factory Auto S2000. If you are close enough and check it out, I would do it for kicks. If it's out of range, then definately dont take their word for it. Most likely they dont know what they are talking about.

When the S comes out with an auto it will be the end of the world, and some of us fear the end of the world is near. One very strong potential reason for more torque in the new 2.2 engine is so it could be mated up to a slushbox tranny. If Honda wants to sell more of them in the states, an auto would clearly increase their sales volume.

i wonder if honda made the decision base engineering or on philosophy (that sports cars should be auto). i'm venturing it's more the former than the latter.
