i bought the wheel locks from HandA-accessories and today tried to put them on. However, I realized that these wheel locks are kind of long and when I put them on, they were sticking out a lot compared to regular bolts. Kind of looked weird.....How many here has the same issue??? Do you guys use it??? I know I should use it but it just looks tooo ugly!!!!

I had my wheels stolen recently, so I definitely use them. There was another theft here in the bay area not too long ago. I had the same initial thought as you, but they aren't actually very noticible. Cheap antitheft insurance.

If you can, get your hands on a set of European wheel locks. They weigh the same as the stock lug nuts (so the weight of the wheel isn't imbalanced), and don't protrude...we had a group buy on them a while ago, so I'm not sure how tough it will be to get them now.

I'll be damned! I had the wheel locks put on by the dealer when I bought my stook and was so enamoured with the car itself I never noticed that the locks stick out farther than the other lug nuts! I just went to the garage and looked at my wheels and saw they do stick out!!!

I'm not sure I'm gonna remove them as they are cheap insurance and aren't really noticable unless you are looking for them.

This car is so incredibly gorgeous that I'm not sure the extra 1/2 inch or so one lug nut sticks out is really noticable unless you are looking right at it.

Hell, I even wash my wheels when I wash the whole car and didn't notice it. Too in love with the rest of the car!! (he he)

My Dad bought me my wheel locks as a gift for the car when I bought it. I did notice initially how they stuck out and I too thought they looked a little unusual or non-form fitting. I've had my car now for 2 months and 8 days (who's counting?) and did not think about them since just now. Trust me....you'll totally forget about them. They are so insignificant and provide such reassurance that you'll never notice them again.

SFDukie- How did your wheels get stolen?? I mean, did you walk out to your car and it was on bricks?
