time to add a new rule

so i know the rules for rain, snow and all the rest, but i came across a new one today, and just wanted to make sure that i was following the correct protocal.

so yesterday i was on the freeway and it started raining. i thought no biggy, i'm on the freeway, i'll be fine, and when i get off its only a mile to my house so no problem...

but then it started hailing!!!, at first tiny, so i thought ok, this is fine, but then it kept getting larger and and heavier... so i pulled off the freeway and hid under the freeway under pass. i'm sorry but i'm not going to drive 60 mph through hail and get little pock marks all over my car.

then about five minutes later it turned to just rain, so i hopped back on the freeway and headed home. i just wondered if the rest of you agree wit this course of action,or if this is against the codeand i need to sack up....

and yes it does rain out here.... once in a while.

As far as Im concerned, theres no written guidelines for a course of action when it hails...

although you did do the smartest move.

I see nothing wrong with what you did.

just bring a helmet next time and keep driving lol.

yeah i wouldve done the same... get shelter ASAP .. hail marks are just a PITA to fix.

ya i had a friend whodrove in the hail.and we didn't see anything for a couple days, then when he washed it there were little marks all over the hood and front of the car...

so i think that no car deserves to get hail treatment, thats just cruel and unusual punishment.

no way i was going to subject my honey to that.

good thing it only happens once or twice a year around here,i totaly don't wish it on anyone, sucks to be in twister areas where it can getas big as baseballs!!!

You're a wuss! If you had any balls at all, you'd drive all the way home with the top down and a big smaile on your face.

Chuck Norris wouldn't drive it in a hail storm with the top up.

That's because Chuck Norris runs in hail, and he doesn't get wet.

:p

My rule: Rain or hail? Leave the S at home.

Agreed, sort of (see edit).

Driving in the rain is the norm up here during the spring and fall. Hail, I would've done the same thing.

hails damage will make your car faster. just like the dimples on a golf ball. :)
