There's a used car dealership near my house, and for the past few weeks I've noticed a silver/black S out front. Well today I decided to stop and take a peek...different wheels (still 16" w/ H badges tho...JDM wheels?), lowered, aftermarket shifter, exhaust, and (get this) silver/white "R" badges on front and rear...oh, the humanity. MY2000 with 23.5k miles. A salesman wandered by upon seeing my red/black and asked if I was interested...I said not really, just taking a peek. I asked how much, he said upper 20's, but didn't remember for sure.

Then I went and took another look inside and noticed a boost gage cluster on the pillar....a blown S2000 for upper 20's?? The salesman was gone though, so I couldn't open the hood. I didn't see a super/turbocharger on the list of features, but it had the other aftermarket stuff. Could the dealer not know they have a blown S?? Could the gages be a facade? Could the salesman have been mistaken when he told me the price? My interest is piqued, so now I think I'll drop by and try to wrangle some more info/a test drive . Not sure if I would really trade mine in for it...but if everything holds up it sure looks tempting. What do y'all think?

 

A blower is a hard thing to not notice. My guess is it was a ricer adding some unneeded guages. The combination of add-ons doesn't seem to indicate a blower. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

 

Anyone dumb enough to add Type R badges is certainly dumb enough to add fake gauges.

Couple more things...it had clear side markers (didn't notice if there were clears up front). Also, the front grille was missing, but now that I think about it, I didn't see an intercooler in there. I gotta admit it struck me as a bit strange that someone spent a lot of money on more or less cosmetic stuff only (IF there's no SC) only to sell it to a used car lot...not even a Honda dealer. Anyway, I'll check back when I get a chance and try to settle the blower issue. If there IS one, I'll let you come over and take a shot at it, CG (I don't wanna trade up for silver when I've already got the best color )...but only if you let me drive it later .

That car was in pensacola @ another used lot. Look close at the exhaust and the whole car it's been abused, looks like some kid tried to rice it. Let us know if if it has a SC. I only got to look at it after hours so I could not get in it either.

 

By the way the wheels are off an Accord with Gatorback tires that are to big.
