Top 50 S2000 Roads in USA.

Shamelessly plagiarized from Top 50 Motorcycle Roads in USA. No surprise about #1, of course. :) (Spoiler: The Dragon.)

Visit the site, there are hundreds more great routes and seemingly everywhere.

Happy motoring!

As in many things, objectivity can vary. I have come across some great roads that rival the parts, if not all, of the dragon but with one giant advantage. Virtually no traffic. No getting stuck behind Mr Harley tricycle of somebody else who does not appreciate the drive like you can.

yes...everyone go to US 129 and ONLY drive that road. ALL the other roads around it are not worth your time and are much too dangerous for licensed drivers. I know this since I've died several times over the years down there.

There used to be a site that would show you motorcycle routes based on your state. It was great. You could have a route of choice emailed to you or pushed to your cell phone to then follow with google maps. Seems I can't find it any longer though.

I live in an area of northern New England that is blessed with a very large number of rural winding roads through lovely countryside with good pavement and very little traffic. The roads recommended in the motorcycle books like this are gorgeous because they have spectacular views. But, most of them attract many tourists in the summer. These roads in northern new england that I drive are generally not as spectacular as far a scenery (although they are very beautiful) but as far as pure driving fun goes, they are wonderful.

I put 500 miles on my motorcycle in a day riding Western NC. I did ride the Dragon once in each direction, but it certainly wasn't the highlight of the trip! ;)

Here is one site I use, it has 3174 roads to choose from. This site covers all 50 states, lots of good roads to drive.

PASHNIT MOTO specializes Galfer, Brembo, EBC, Pazzo, Cycle Pump, Speedohealer, Clearwater Lights, Gear Indicators, Powerlet, Stainless steel braided brake lines

Cos,
Pashnit was a great site for CA roads but their froum has been gone for years and I haven't found the Calif. motorcycle roads page(with maps) either. It had the best maps that you could start on one map and before you finished your route you had gone through 4 or 5 maps and had a 5 day ride all planned out.

Miss the old site,
Rod

There are so many great roads in TN it's insane! The dragon is fun but there are plenty of hidden gems no one seems to know about. I pass literally zero cars on many of them. Route 66 heading north thru Rogersville is one of them.
