Default tpms sensor problems.

was at honda training scholl the other day. and during my lunch brake, i drove to get lunch and when i got back to the school.i noticed the tpms light on. not the low tire pressure light, all tire pressures good. hooked up honda diagnostic scan tool to my car and got tpms code 35-1 tire 3 sensor low battery voltage. can check all the condition of all 4 tpms sensors battery condition with the hds. tire sensor 3 shows low battery. cause of code. cleared code for now and light stayed off, but sure will come back on because tire sensor 3 shows low battery voltage.

just wondering if anyone else had this problem. and had to have new tpms sensors installed? ever since i worked at the honda dealer, i have all kinds of tpms problems on civics, accords, crv's, pilots. elements, fit, etc. but never on a s2000. my car is an 2008 with only 13,959 mi. 2008 is also the first year that the s2000 came with tpms. this just really pisses me off because the car is so new. if problem were to occur after warranty is up, i think i would fly the pos tpms sensors in the trash. and try disable the light on dash.

would prefer to keep the system functioning properly. much help appricated.

My TPMS light stays on, but thats because of the aftermarket rims w/ no sensors ;-)

I just stuck a piece of black electrical tape over that part of the dash blacking it out, and now "no" light! Sounds ghetto, but you can't see the tape and it takes away the light without having to pull apart the guage cluster and remove the bulb! ;-)

Damn TPMS - we can thank all the idiots that had Explorers and never checked air pressure. When will we stop legislating stupidity?

Thank goodness I don't have them on the S - but the Rogue is another story.

in the case of TPMS we can conclude............

AP1 + AP2v1 + AP2v2 > AP2v3

Take them out and make a TPMS pipe bomb.
