Transporting Factory Exhaust
 

Hey everyone,

I am planning to pick up a factory AP2 cat back that's located a few hours away. I'll be driving a '99 Accord sedan, which has the rear seat split. I'm worried about the width of the mufflers not clearing the trunk opening more than anything. Would it be possible for it to fit?

Drive your S2000 to the factory AP2 exhaust location, remove aftermarket exhaust from your S2000, install OEM exhaust on your S2000, put aftermarket exhaust in trunk and passenger seat of your S2000 and drive home.

This assumes you have an S2000 and you have an aftermarket exhaust that comes apart in multiple pieces. :D

I fit mine in my corolla with the trunk open and the other end extending all the way on top of the front passenger seat. The accord should be slightly larger so you should be OK. Grab some rope and cushioning material so you can tie your trunk down.

Hah, that would actually work...if only that were the case! I'm actually buying a CR exhaust to replace the factory base exhaust on my car. I know it offers very little in the way of performance gains over the base exhaust, but for the sake of keeping my CR build authentic, I've gotta have it.

I would abandon the stock non-CR exhaust then. :)
