Tires

Check your tire depths and alignment.

Good tires, good pressure, and good alignment fix that.

Yep tires.. Had same issue with my mustang scared the shit out of me as I drifted 2 lanes across making a right turn.

Tires are huge, but it's also important to drive to the conditions and be aware of hazards. No passenger tire is going to stop you from hydroplaning if you hit a 2" deep puddle at 50mph. You have to slow down and/or get around things like that. Also, it helps to have good car control. Go to a couple autocrosses, you'll have a blast.

Bottom line, you shouldn't be accidentally spinning out just driving around. The S2k is twitchy indeed, but you shouldn't be exceeding the limits by accident on the street.

Anyways, try avoiding the channels in the road, they tend to become streams and make an already sensitive car even more sensitive. Slow methodical inputs also help, as do the other productive comments.
