Hello, (excuse my bad english).

I've just read your comments about the "Oil bolts and Spark plugs changes".
I live in Europe, and I've got a S2000.

In september 2001, I've got an car crash with my S 2000. It happend at the exit of a round corner. Suddenly the engine lose power, and it came back suddenly.
My S 2000 had 27.000 kms.

I had two month of hospital for my back ....

In september 2002, Honda recalled its cars due to defect oil bolts and spark plugs.

Now, I do a justice action against Honda.

So if you have some engine's power problems with Your car, please take care of it.

And please write me.

JC

I removed the oil pan and peered up into the bottom end of his engine only to discover that his engine was already fitted with the new bolts! I removed one to make sure and it had the larger head with 4 small holes. At least we had a good laugh about it. [/B]

that's interesting as my info came straight from the parts listing computer. I'll go double check with them to make sure those digits are right. I would've dropped the pan anyway if I was that close to the cut-off to double check.

Cool

I have read several pages on this thread. Just reading the title makes me unhappy, but things happen I guess. The conditions in the UK are that of race enthusiasts that drive their cars to the limit. Here we do that sometimes, not everyday.

-------

Here is a question I must ask everyone. I currently have 90,000 miles on my car. Would you think it would be worth the time and money to really replace these oil jets now? My answer is no. If there is wear it is already damaged. I almost took that part # and called Honda to get them. I am very good at doing work on any car now so I was not going to pay Honda to do it, but I came to the conclusion it has been to long for those banjo bolts to fail. If they have not yet they will not now.
