Urgent, Need Suggestions for Compensation from Dealer!!!!

Hello all, about two weeks ago my father bought a new 2003 s2000. Within one week after no "vtecing" the car began to emit blue smoke while in idle. After taking it to the dealer they said that when the car was manufactured the piston rings or seals(i cant remember what they said exactly now) were put on backwards. so after having the car for only 300 miles it has been at the dealer for over a week waiting on a part which is beiong put on today. so far the car was already going in for a oem spoiler and as of now that has been put on free of charge and having just spoken to the general manager 5 minutes ago he wants to know what else if anything my father would like out of them. really all i could think of was the hardtop at a discounted price. can anyone else help me out and think of anything that the dealerahip could offer my dad for this compensation. please excuse my lack of knowledge about the engine details as i am 21 and dont know much about engines, just know that i love the car, thanks alot.

what about OEM front spoiler or rear (don't know which he was already giving you). They aren't going to come down much on a HT.

That doesn't sound too bad. Maybe you can also ask for some maintenance/oil changes free of charge?

Free extended warranty

Or a discount/free extended warranty if he thinks he'll keep the car for a while. That will covery him from possible defects down the line.

Sounds like a great dealer if they're willing to offer that. Usually you have to put up a fight to get compensation.

Which dealer? (I just noticed that you live in the area and now I am curious.)

Car cover
Oil changes
Cargo net

I would ask for the extended warranty, maybe split it 50/50.

The dealer is O'hare Honda in Des Plaines. The rear spoiler is the one that was getting done and now is free of charge. The hardtop is $2000 msrp right? The extended warranty sounds like a great idea too, im not sure how much they would come down on the hardtop either...

how much extra is the extended warranty?

i'd ask for free oil changes, an alignment, and a discount on the warranty...
regarding the cost of a warranty -- i paid $1050 for a $0 deductible 7 yr/100k mile warranty from Honda. as i understand it and compared to what i've seen elsewhere here, i got a pretty good deal.

and a hardtop isn't even close to $2000 msrp. i think that's actually close to cost. i think the hardtop is closer to $3000 msrp.
