In an earlier thread I posted Honda S2000 sales by calendar year. At the time a number of you asked what the number's would be if done by Model Year rather than Calendar Year. I have done some research and here's my findings.

MY 2000 = 9,144

The first S2000s brought into the states by American Honda do not get registered as sales as they are used for other purposes. It believed the first S2000 sold in 1999 (titled as a MY 2000) was VIN# 000063. If so, then VIN# 009207 would have been the last MY 2000 sold.

MY 2001 = 9,755

MY 2002 = a little over 2,000 to date.

is there another break down on exterior color and also interior color?

i am wondering out of all the Siverstone's sold, how many have black interiors and how many have red interiors?

So 1600 / (9,144 + 9,755 + 2000) = 0.077 which means 7.7% of S2000 owners are registered owners on S2KI, give or take a couple hundred. Sweet! I sure would like to see more, they don't know what they are missing.

I thought 1600 registered owners are worldwide and 9000+9000+2000 S2Ks are for US only........

I'll leave that research up to you. My car, by the way, has a red and black interior - where does that fit?

About a year and a half ago this board did an impromptou survey of all the members. This was before the spa yellow was out. I don't remember the exact percentages but red/black was by far the most popular color followed by siver/red, silver/black, black/black, black/red and white/red.

True but there aren't that many intl owners. That's why I said give or take a couple hundred.
