That's a good way to get yourself shot...

I am so nervous when I have to take my car to work. I usually take the bus, but, I do drive when I have to. Luckily, I work across from the federal building in Seattle and there is always an armed Dept of Homeland Security officer right across the street. I do not care for firearms, however, I have come to appreciate the officer's presence. I have not had one incident yet (knocking on wood).

Happy New Years everyone!

I live on the Air Force Base so it is very rare for some one to mess with your car but if they do the base will cover any damage done to it. As long as your car was secure and parked right ie.. locked and between the lines in the parking spot.

My s2000 just got vandalized for the 6th time since I bought it the last week of march. Same group of kids every time. Im now up to 9500 in total damage. The officer told me to stop driving nice cars. i guess I should let the punks win.
I've spent a fair amount of time on these forums this past year defending police officers. But I must say, if I was in your position and some cop told me that, I'd have a hard time not telling him to get off his !@#$% ass and do his job!

I've very sorry for the trouble you're having. Please try not to let the punks win.

Best of luck,
Steve R.

Bad bad idea - that's a recipe for going to jail, no matter what they did to your car, or how many times it happened. Get a video camera and stake out the car to catch the little bastards in the act - give the tape to your insurance company and let them unleash their lawyers on the little punks. Regardless of whether they get community service or not, the insurance company will make sure that they extract every last cent of damage, either from them or their parents, which will make their lives plenty miserable. Let loose the fury of corporate america on these bastards
