VooDoo shift pattern doesn't line up

Just installed an etched pearl finish VooDoo knob. The functionality is great, but the shift pattern is almost completely backwards. Any fixes? Plumbers tape, flange nut, etc.?

use the lock nut used with the stock shitf knob

I don't understand why people buy these knobs with the shift patern since everybody knows where the gears are. To each his own I guess...

Try some removeable thread locker.

I just got a voodoo knob for Christmas and I love it! Best bang for the buck mod so far!!

negative. since the knob is countersunk, the knob completely covers all of the thread on the stick.

I had the same problem. I used a small wad of cardboard (not from boxes, more like the backing on wrapped items, the thin kind) and stuffed it in the knob. then screwed it down. Because the carboard offers some 'spring' when compressed, you can get it pretty close. If not, just use a small dab of blue loc-tite on the thread.

I think the fix is to apply Loc Tite to the thread, screw the knob all the way on, then back it out until it lines up and let it sit for an hour.

Personally, I went w/o the pattern - I like the cleaner looks, simpler install, and it makes it harder for a thief to drive!

I've heard of people wadding up a small amount of aluminium foil and inserting it into the knob as well. That should eliminate the last 1/2 turn.

This is exactly why I didn't get the engraved knob!
