Vtec ????
i just got my S and not able to take the car over 5,500rpms.....and was wondering how high the rpms have to be for the VTEC to kick in????

V-TEC kicks in at 6000 rpm...so please, heed the manual's warning and stay below 5500 for the first 600 miles.
Read the part about varying your speed and stuff too.
600 miles will come soon enough...be patient grasshopper.
