Definitely does. I have been well into vtec in both gears. Especially when I had 4.77's I maxed it out at around 145 or so.

I hit 145 with room to go, but it kinda got a little shaky for me. I was also driving that fast with about 8-10 crotch rockets all around me...like a minefield lol.

I still don't think I have been able to engage vtec in 6th, or I haven't noticed it yet. 5th is really noticable and so on and so on.

yup VTEC is engaged. i finally got up my car up to 147mph couple weeks ago. could have easily maxed it out. scary tho.

VTEC engages all gears.

Longer gears it's harder to notice.

I've hit the fuel cut off countless times in 5th gear on my stock AP2, on the race track that is. Fuel cut was an indicated 127/128 on my speedometer. I've never been on a track with long enough straights to get into 6th gear (though at other tracks I tried short shifting into 6th gear but b/c of the lower section of the power band and the CDV letting the clutch slip this was never faster).

I've never done it but I was under the impression that the S2000 maxed out around 150 from wind resistance.

Fastest I've been in the s2k is 144mph and I still hit the fuel cut off point...seemed to take forever to get there tho, probably cause top was down

I remember seeing a video on youtube of someone maxing out their stock AP1 in 6th gear, and it was 153 mph. Thats not the end of the gearing, the car just wouldn't pull any more. Other videos range from mid 150's to low 160's depending on mods.

i got on my car on the dyno and in straights. 164 dyno and 165 radar. now with gears, its 152.
