What does everyone here find is the most effective and safestway to wash their Chamois?

Never heard of anyone needing to wash a chamois before. How did it get dirty?

CoralDoc 12-09-2000 06:13 PM

I use cool, clear water. Nothing more, nothing less.

Don't use warm water in a washing machine. It will dissolve. Not that I know from personal experience, of course. :o

I threw mine in the washing machine and gave it a good cleaning. Results were good.

If you use "The Absorber", you'll find you hardly need to use a chamois - which means it'll get a lot less dirty (the chamois). It's wiping the chamois around the rubber trim, wheel arches and exhaust areas that really make it oily. Just try to avoid going there; it'll last a lot longer.
