Weighing up lower brace options...

I am trying to decide which front lower brace to go for.

Currently the Ricks accessories billet brace if the favorite but if the Muz/Whiteline unit is significantly lighter - I might consider that.

The Ricks unit is about 6lbs - anyone tell me how much the Whiteline unit weighs, or the Spoon and Cusco for that matter...?

TIA

you're in luck, I just received my whiteline brace last week.

it is 3.7 lbs according to my supposedly very accurate Soehlne digital scale. I weighed it 2x, came up exactly same weight each time.

one thing though-- it's not going to be as pretty as the Rick's billet brace. the whiteline is all welded, and I couldn't honestly describe the welds as perfect or anywhere near. but, since it's hidden under the car, I guess it doesn't need to be pretty-- it just needs to get the job done.

and from what I've heard, it does so nicely. that's why I bought mine. :rev:

The billet brace is beautiful and a work of art as well as the stiffest brace out there. Fits with the beauty of the car imho.

I'm also currently trying to decide which of the two to purchase. Rick's seems nicer, but is also $100 more expensive. Three pounds isn't a whole lot of difference, anyone have experience on the fitment and effectivness of both?
