Default What did insurance pay for your totaled S2000?

Wife hit some damp roads on cold tires and lost control of the car, wrapping it around a tree. Thankfully no one else was riding with her and she's ok but it's definitely totaled. What did insurance pay for your totaled S2000? Mine was a 2005 with 53k miles. Bone stock and pristine.

Damn, thats a helluva crash to walk away from.

I was around $15k for my 98k 06, but that was 5 years ago.

Hate to make a reply without contributing anything but that's one hell of a crash to walk from, considering the amount of the damage done to the driver compartment. Says something about the safety of the S. Good to hear she walked away from it without harm. Sorry to see the car in such condition though. Good luck with insurance.

You can use this site for daily values. Black Book Weekly Values Lite
Take it with a grain of salt.
It's showing the value of mine at $24k with 60k miles.
You should also search for similar year/mile vehicles for sale and save/download/print those adds.
Basically build the best case for yourself and document as much as you can.

I was hoping your car was RHD when I saw the pic above. Amazing your wife is OK. She was VERY lucky.

Best way to argue the amount if they are low-balling you is the find several examples in the area within one year of yours (04-06) with similar miles and condition. I had to do this when my first car was t-boned and they only offered me $13.5K at first. The car was an 2005 with 66K miles and clean; they finally paid out $19.5K.

Thank you for all of the kind words and advice. It's truly a miracle she's still alive.

She is definitely luck to be okay. How hard did she hit the tree? That's massive intrusion.
