My understanding is that these wheels were offered as optional upgraded wheels by Honda in the Japanese Domestic Market, not in the US Domestic Market. They were manufactured for Honda by BBS. You will often see them described as BBS JDM 16" wheels. They are forged wheels and they are very lightweight.

These appear to be the ones featured on the Tamiya model kit my son and I are working on. I wondered about the 6-spoke wheel lineage. Thanks.

I have this model. I opened it up to check it out way back when, and that's as far as I got. Now that I'm retired, I should put it together!

Apparently they were also offered as an option on New Zealand market S2000s but I don't know how many people took them up on it. I'm doing my best to round up old brochures with option lists for the NZ market but haven't managed to find a pre-2004 one yet, even from Honda NZ themselves.

I was going to go for a drive at lunchtime today but an appointment came up so I won't get the chance. Tomorrow I'm getting a neuroma dealt to in my left foot so I don't think I'll be up to using a clutch for the next while. WHYYYYYYYYYYYY?! *shakes fist at life*

I'd like to see a pic when you're done. I'm having a heck of a time matching Suzuka with stock modeling colors.

While I have the interior apart for some winter work, I installed a Redline Goods shift boot and leather armrest (with padding). The shift boot was a breeze using the DIY on S2Ki. The armrest wasn't bad either, but I was nervous about the install since I'm not really an upholsterer... but overall came out good. The blue stitching matches my Clazzio seats (black with blue stitching).

I'll put it back in the car once I wrap up the work (seat heaters, sound deadening on the floor and regreasing the shifter).
