Default What do you guys think about

So I just picked up a tanabe racing super medallion for my 02...... any one here have this system?

if so what do you think that I can expect from it? Ex: Sound, HP+-?.

The reason I bought this system is because there is a JDM reseller in my city that had it in stock for only $190.00....and this thing literally looks like it is brand new!

Btw... it is the dual cat back system..... but I guess that the JDM models flange connection after the cat is placed in a different spot, so not I have to wait till Friday to get it put on be a local shop .... any recomondations?

YAY!!!

I havn't heard of anyone with this but have seen pics. It looks decent with the big a$$ mufflers. For only $190 you couldn't go wrong anyways. Good buy man, just make sure to post your after thoughts and some pics when you get it on.

I wish I had duel.

Red face

Ok, so I found out that I was missing a 36 inch pipe that connected from the end of the cat to the Y split to each muffler....luckily the store set it aside for me and the had a huge laugh when I showed to pick it up....

It took about 45 minutes to mount.... let me tell you guys this thing roars... the tq gain is defiantly there, I have noticed that my second gear chirps are allot easier to achieve and it fish tales allot more than it used to as well.

I am pretty impressed bey the overall performance increase of this set up. The only downfall is how big the whole thing looks. If size was not a factor, I would be 100% satisfied.

Oh well though.... this unique set up for under $200.00 I feel that I have no real room to complain.

Thumbs up

So I cant figure out how to post pictures on this forum... It probably has to do with the fact that I have not purchased an account.... so here is a link to the picture on photobucket.com

I have this exhaust on my 2004. It's for sale if anyone is interested. Make me an offer. I've had it on since August. The quality is very good and yes they are loud. They angle outwards on the car that just makes them look so much cooler. Only reason I'm selling it is because I'm going to go with an Amuse R1000 so obviously the sound levels don't bother me. I believe as far as mid range exhaust systems go, Tanabe is one of the better ones. Just my opinion though. Plus not a lot of people have them

Darn it I thought that I was the only one in the S. Bay with this.

But yea the sound levels....... I still hear humming in my head and I got to work an hour ago.

It seems that it has it's Hp gains between 4000- 7000 , did you feel this gain too? BTW how much are you looking to sell this thing for?

ssmr2t, i guess make me an offer I can't refuse. I still have all the original packaging as well. It's been on since August as I stated and the car has been garaged since November 1. So I've only got three months use out of it. Like I said, I do like it but I really want to go with a single. I'm installing an Ings rear bumper and I think that bumper looks better with a single instead of a dual. Car goes in next week for installation of body kit and paint, so I can have them remove the exhaust as well. Let me know.
