Maybe I'm crazy, but the quarter panel looks darker than the door. The drivers side tail light is misaligned with the qp. I'd definitely run the CarFax and ask for photos of the previous damage. I've seen a lot of silverstone cars with a bad paint match. If the owner lies about anything at all, I'd walk away.

Test drive the car. Windows up, radio off and listen to the car for any knocking, rattling sounds.
That won't completely help as all these cars rattle with the roof up. Engine compartment looks pristine especially for a Florida car. Must have remained far from the coast. A look underneath will help.

Echo pulling the trunk carpet and checking for damage there. But if you're going to lower it, pull the fenders, put on aftermarket wheels, and otherwise bugger modify it anyway who cares for $16K?

Too bad someone blanked out the license plate as you can get a basic CarFax for free with that number. Not great detail but a start.

Although I agree with most here about it only being 16k but look at it from a different perspective. What if this 16k was earned hard and that is every penny the buyer has. It would be a shame if he put his life savings into this one only to find out there was damage and could have found another for the same price in better condition. On the other hand if this 16k is pocket change, then buy it and modify the heck out of it!

OP, do everything stated in this thread. Heck even take it to a reputable body shop and have them give it a once over. I would imagine they could spot out repair flaws, if any. If the seller has nothing to hide and is motivated to sell it he should have no problem letting you do this.

There is an aftermarket provider that makes an AP1 style lip for the AP2 bumper, the lip on the car above will not fit an AP1 bumper.

Don't really understand why anyone wants an AP1 style lip on an AP2, the AP2 lip looks much better to me.

Based on the photos there are definitely a few things to question when it comes to this car as already noted above. Sometimes photos can make things look worse than they are but sadly the opposite can also hold true. Have you been looking for a S2000 for very long at this point? Fair deals can still be found on these cars although sometimes that requires a bit of patience and/or travel. If you end up passing on this particular car, the right one will eventually come along. Plus you'll have that much more time to spend perusing the wealth of information available on this site. If you haven't already read this thread I'd suggest you check it out. Obviously there are lots of knowledgeable members here that are on your side. Good luck with the search!
