What does "A" written on suspension cross beam mean?

that A is from the factory, all s2000's have similar

This is common in most automotive factories. Letters, dots, marker checks, the list goes on. Some are identifying marks, some indicate the bolt has been torqued, some are for a visual inspection and so on. We do this on the engines as well. We have sockets that we put paint in the mark the bolt when it has been torqued. I work in the engine plant final repair and any part I remove I put a green mark on the bolts once I reassemble and torque the bolts.

I had no idea that that information was under the mirrors. That took longer for me to learn that where the Secret Compartment was.

I would guess that its a mark made by an assembly line worker to indicate a passed inspection.

Yeah, worldwide thing so definitely not denoting that its for the American market. Passed inspection seems highly likely.
