Now i love my car and are debating on dropping it, some people tell me that espelir and swift are the better springs for this car, from what i know tein n eibach are one of the best??? I dont want to slam the car just want to get rid of the gap. Any suggestions would be very appriciated. N do you guys think ill be good with just changing the springs and living the stock shocks????

Welcome to S2kI.

The car sounds like a nice find, but being an "old guy" who drives the stew out of his S2000, I don't think you should assume that an older owner took it easy on the car.

Opinions vary when it comes to springs (and most other mods), and to a large extent the best choices depend on what you are going to be doing with the car, and what you want from the car. I'd suggest getting to know the car a little before deciding on mods, but of course, that's up to you.

I am running an Eibach Pro Kit over the stock shocks (which are non-adjustable Showa coil-overs, with external reservoirs at the back), and running very close to UK alignment (use search to find more info on UK alignment). I autocross the car and have been able to make the setup work very well, but there is one downside. The car doesn't have the kind of ground clearance most cars have to start with, so a 1" drop is as bad as totally "slamming" a Civic or Supra. The front strakes end up 3" or less off the ground, and I replace mine several times a year, becuase they scrap so often. You location will make all the difference here, and some people live happily with even greater drops, but keep in mind that public roads have pot holes, driveways, and speedbumps.

The Pro Kit, along with alignment afterward (a must, BTW), does not make a huge change in the way the car rides or handles, though over large bumps and/or dips you will (obviously) run out of both suspension travel and ground clearance sooner.
Im sorry if you got offended. The gentleman that owned the car prior to me left all his invoices of purchase, oil changes etc. Im just looking to make the car look a little nice by dropping it a little but i dont want the car to be slammed to the floor! I also want the car to drive like stock (not bouncy nore to scrape even the bugs that are on the floor lol) Maybe like an inch or so (i plan on leaving the factory shocks n i dont plan on taking the car to the track) thank you for the advise sorry if you feelt insulted didnt mean nothing insulting Guess sometimes i should think befor i speack/writte

No, no, I wasn't insulted at all. My age (59) doesn't offend me. It's all good.

I had initially planned to go with a good set of fully adjustable coil overs and other suspension mods, and only put the Pro Kit on my car to see if I could live with the car lowered an inch, but liked the near stock ride and handling so much that I ended up leaving them on the car. On nice thing about swapping the springs is that it's not terribly expensive, and if you don't like the results you can swap back to stock or try a different set of springs fairly easily.

To post an image, you use code like this ...
Code:
... which shows up in the post like this:
Love the car man! What springs is it that you have??? I really like the way your car looks nice and clean. So how is it that you post pics up here, so i can post some up of my car???
