Well this wont happen again. Brand new never registered 09 with 71 miles on it from a Honda dealership. Don't call and bombard them, they know what they have and I already harassed the $hit of them. They're asking 40k and not budging. I made an offer not far off and they didn't even consider it. If you keep this under 100 miles its gonna be worth a fortune in 5-10 years

So it's been rotting for the last 6 years? It's already out of production so I don't see the value suddenly increasing anywhere in the near future. Maybe it's just me but I see no point in buying a car I can't drive.

What was list for this car?
Will it be worth $80k in 10 yrs? You can double your money a lot of fairly conservative ways in 10 years.
Problem with cars like this is that driving at all the drops the value quickly? How much of a premium will the "10 yr" buyer pay for a car they can't drive vs a well maintained 50,000 mile example?

I suppose if you want to buy, hold and speculate on it shooting up in value......this is the one to buy. However, there are probably better places to put your 40k where it will grow at a faster rate. It's taken 930 Turbo Porsches 40 years to reach crazy investment grade prices. I can't see it happening with S2000's, but it certainly would be fun to see what prices are like in a few decades.

S2000's aren't going to shoot up to $100K...I don't think ever. Buy this one at $40K, maybe it'll be worth $50K in 10 yrs? 20 yrs? 30 yrs? It's special, but not THAT special.
Invest your $40K in the stock market and you'll likely make way more money, much much faster. Then in 15 years when you're sitting on double your money, you can contact the poor sap that bought this car and offer him $50k for his pristine car and have enough money left over to buy 5 more used S2000's to modify.
