What parts typically replaced when hydrolocked

Other than that the only problem I could see was if you drove through a 2 foot puddle, which why would you do anyway?
when actually moving, the engine bay is pretty darn close to ambient.

a cold air intake is mostly for an extra few ponies on the dyno, where the bay IS hotter.
